Kids Club Animator
United Hotels ( Lordos ) LTDThe Lordos Beach Hotel is seeking to employ an enthusiastic Kids Club Animator to be part in a collaborative work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and prepare the weekly Kids Club activity programme, ensuring activities are appropriate for different age groups.
- Prepare, arrange, and maintain the Kids Club area, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Prepare all necessary materials, games, and equipment required for daily activities.
- Welcome children and parents, ensuring a smooth registration and check-in/check-out process.
- Organize and lead creative, educational, and recreational activities that encourage participation and development.
- Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout their stay.
- Apply all health and safety procedures and respond promptly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies.
- Administer first aid when required, in accordance with the hotel's policies and procedures.
- Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure the smooth operation of the Kids Club programme and related activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their children's participation, wellbeing, and behaviour when necessary.
- Ensure the Kids Club complies with all hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of activity materials and equipment and report replenishment needs to the supervisor.
- Participate in departmental meetings and comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain effective communication and positive working relationships with all hotel departments.
- Contribute to a positive working environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and initiative.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and the instructions of the Department Manager.
- Carry out any other related duties as assigned by Management.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Post-secondary diploma or college qualification in Early Childhood Education, Education, Childcare, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience in a structured working environment.
- At least one (1) year of previous experience working with children in a Kids Club, childcare facility, summer camp, nursery, or a related setting.
- Very good command of both English and Greek, written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet applications.
- Genuine passion for working with children and a caring, empathetic personality.
- Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and commitment to children's safety and wellbeing.
- Creative thinking and the ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, friendly personality, and excellent customer service skills.
