Position: Senior Manager | Risk, Regulatory & Forensic – Nicosia

Our Risk, Regulatory & Forensic team is seeking to recruit a dynamic and high calibre professional to join us at the level of Senior Manager to be based in our Nicosia office and service our engagements in Cyprus, EU and the Middle East, both onsite and remotely.

The Team

The team is responsible for advising (in strategy, financial, regulatory and business process risks) the top management of leading international clients in the financial services industry (e.g. Banking, FinTechs, Regulators and Central Banks) in the region.

The Role

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Advising the top management of leading international clients in the financial services industry (e.g. Banking, Fintechs, Regulators and Central Banks)

  • Advising clients in strategy, financial, regulatory matters such as adherence to regulations, Banking supervision etc.

  • Developing regulatory benchmarking analysis reports

  • Driving projects and ensuring implementation of the solutions for our clients within the context of regulatory requirements (e.g. Basel III, CDR IV/CRR, stress testing, Recovery and Resolution, Open Banking etc.)

  • Assisting clients to identify, analyze and solve challenging issues in the area of risk and capital and liquidity management, develop business strategies

  • Developing cohesive conclusions and participating in report writing, analysis and presentation of results to clients

  • Supporting and assisting senior management in developing and winning new business, including assisting with proposal development

  • Lead eminence efforts of building the Deloitte brand in our core service offerings, including participating in industry forums, publications, eminence materials and presentation at internal events

  • Lead business development through building relationships with key clients and help identify opportunities as well as respond to RFPs

  • Leading, managing and delivering projects with financial and timeline requirements

  • Furthermore, the successful candidate will be expected to develop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact on those matters and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degree from a reputable University in Science fields such as Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or in Business Administration fields such as Finance, Economics or Strategy or in any other related disciplines

  • Experience in Enterprise risk management, Credit risk, Market and Liquidity risk, data management and data governance

  • Understanding and experience with EU Regulatory requirements (CRD, CRR, BCBS 239, RDARR etc)

  • 10-12 years of relevant professional experience in Consulting firms, financial services institutions, or FinTechs / RegTechs

  • Strong attention to detail with a curiosity to understand data

  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills

  • Excellent organizational and planning skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively as part of a team

  • A structured, result-driven attitude with an entrepreneurial, creative mind-set

  • Ability to communicate complex topics effectively in writing as well as presentations

  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written

  • Willing to travel and possibly spend long periods of time working overseas (including in the Middle East)
