MSC Shipmanagement Limited is the world’s leading ship management company and continues to expand its fleet and global operations. As part of this ongoing growth, we are constantly seeking to strengthen our teams. Currently, we are recruiting Fleet Personnel Officer to join our Crewing Department.

Role Overview:
In this role you will be responsible to ensure that ships assigned to you have the necessary personnel to operate safely and efficiently and to support the well-being of the seafarers. This includes the sourcing, recruitment, selection, scheduling, briefings and on-going management of seafarers engaged on our vessels. Good communication skills are also required with all relevant parties.

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of crewing procedures as per company’s policies and standards.

• Coordination with the manning offices for ensuring that crew changes are planned at most cost-effective ports of trade and keeping crew travel cost as per budget.

• Assisting with the planning of officers in coordination with the local offices and manning agencies.

• Maintaining daily communication with the manning offices and monitoring the crew changes.

• Monitoring and evaluation of the crew members’ performance.

• Undertake or involvement in other tasks or projects as required.

• Assist in the annual crew budgets as per Company’s guidelines.

Skills and Experience

• Crewing experience gained ideally in Ship Management environment.

• In the absence of experience, successful commercial apprenticeship could be considered as an advantage.

• Bachelor degree would be an advantage.

• Very good knowledge of English language.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Computer Literacy.
