Job Description
  • Be familiar and have a basic understanding of the planning and completion sections.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements to be audited by a team of which you are not a member, or assist in reviewing the financial statements provided by clients by performing casting and ensuring comparative figures are in line with the prior year signed financial statements.
  • Ensure consistency of disclosures and accounting policies before the financial statements are provided for the first review, either by assistant managers or managers depending on the complexity and level of reviewers for each engagement.
  • Perform the audit of medium complexity and medium risk areas as instructed by the team manager and agreed at the planning stage, within the allocated time budget.
  • Understand the objectives and procedures of work assigned before commencement of the work.
  • Maintain a list of all outstanding points and points for discussion in the areas assigned, and take appropriate follow-up action.
  • Ensure that all tasks assigned are completed and review points are cleared.
  • Obtain the financial statements and evaluate and assess the financial position of each client, especially at planning and completion stage and during the review of the financial statements.
  • Coach less experienced team members on the field.
Requirements
  • ACCA or ACA qualification, or attending the final stages of the qualification.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within an Audit role, preferably with a medium or large size Audit Firm.
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written.
  • Very good knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of CaseWare.
  • Pleasant personality, professionalism, ability to work with a team and, when necessary, to work under strict reporting deadlines.
  • Ambition to build a career as an Auditor and expand your knowledge and experience.
