CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a leading provider of IT services and solutions to both the private and public sector, we are seeking to recruit an Application Support Engineer to join their team based in Nicosia. As an Application Support Engineer, you will provide hands-on technical & software support for installed systems, ensuring smooth operations and effective collaboration between the end client and internal teams. You should be educated to degree level in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related field, and be familiar with software systems, with a willingness to learn the technology stack (C#, .NET, Oracle, SQL, JavaScript, etc.). An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer, which includes a 13th salary, provident fund, medical insurance, and more! This position is hybrid in nature — you will spend three days per week at the end client’s premises and two days in our clients’ offices, ensuring a strong balance between on-site support and internal coordination. Working hours are from 07:30 – 15:30 from Monday to Thursday, and from 07:30 – 14:30 each Friday.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Provide on-site technical support for software systems, diagnosing and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruption to the client’s operations.
  • Log, track, and manage support tickets, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of client-reported issues.
  • Deliver training sessions and create user documentation to help client staff maximize their use of systems.
  • Perform regular system checks, apply updates, and coordinate with the development team for more complex fixes or enhancements.
  • Collect and relay client feedback, feature requests, and bug reports to the product team to inform future improvements.
  • Ensure all support activities are documented according to company and ISO standards, maintaining clear records for audits and knowledge sharing.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or any other related field.
  • Familiarity with software systems and a willingness to learn the technology stack (C#, .NET, Oracle, SQL, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to develop technical expertise.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Organizational skills and a proactive attitude.
