CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established technology company specializing in innovative automation and security solutions for residential and commercial properties across Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Systems Programmer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and commissioning a wide range of automation and security systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, who possess previous experience in automation, systems integration, or a related engineering role. Holders of any relevant industry certifications such as KNX, Control4, Cisco, Ruckus, are encourage to apply. Knowledge of automation system programming is essential, and excellent communication skills in both Greek and English are a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Programme and configure home and building automation systems.
  • Commission and test installed systems to ensure correct operation.
  • Configure and integrate:
    • Home & Building Automation.
    • Audio & Video Systems.
    • Wired & Wireless Networks.
    • Energy Management (Heating & Cooling Integration).
    • Lighting & Shading Control.
    • Security Systems.
  • Customize system functionality according to customer requirements.
  • Communicate with customers regarding system operation, adjustments, and feature requests.
  • Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and technical support when required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming and system integration issues.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, installation engineers, and senior engineers.
  • Prepare technical documentation and commissioning records.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.

 

Key Skills/Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in automation, systems integration, or a related engineering role.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g. KNX, Control4, Cisco, Ruckus etc).
  • Experience working with smart home or smart building technologies.
  • Strong interest in automation, engineering, and technology.
  • Knowledge of automation system programming, KNX Partner certification is considered an advantage.
  • Good understanding of IP networking principles.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Clean criminal record.
