On behalf of our client, an audit firm, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist tax managers and senior associates in providing direct tax advisory and consultation services.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective tax strategies.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate tax risks.
  • Prepare and review various tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, trust).
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely submission of assigned tax filings.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to help maintain compliance.
  • Support client relationships by delivering responsive, high-quality service.
  • Address client tax concerns and help communicate complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet client expectations and firm goals.
  • Maintain organised documentation and workpapers for client engagements.
  • Participate in internal training and professional development initiatives.
  • Follow firm policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Perform any other related duties that may be assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements:

  • The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Prior experience in tax preparation and compliance is preferred
  • Foundational knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
