The Opportunity

We are looking for a Support Level 2 (SL2) Engineer to join our team in Nicosia (Hybrid). This role suits a proactive, technically skilled professional with a solid foundation in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising critical systems and will report directly to the Head of IT.

Technical Skills
  • Basic Windows and Linux server operations and administration

  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure and Alibaba Cloud platforms

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex technical issues

  • Experience with Linux and Windows server administration

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Checkmk, Prometheus, Grafana and Zabbix

  • Experience with incident alerting and management platforms such as OpsGenie

  • Experience administering Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Understanding of SSL/TLS certificate management and renewal processes

  • Experience investigating logs, performing root cause analysis (RCA), and system auditing

  • Experience with deployment processes and production environment support

Scripting & Automation
  • Ability to write and maintain automation or monitoring scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python

  • Experience automating operational tasks and monitoring checks

  • Familiarity with integrating monitoring alerts and operational workflows

Operational & Process Skills
  • Experience working in incident management and production support environments

  • Ability to investigate cases, bugs, and incidents and provide mitigation actions

  • Experience coordinating with internal teams and third-party service providers to resolve platform issues

  • Experience handling GDPR data removal or sensitive data management requests

  • Ability to implement approved configuration changes in QA and Production environments

  • Participation in release management activities including deployment and QA sanity testing

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in technical support, system administration, or production operations roles

  • Experience supporting mission-critical platforms or financial systems is a strong advantage

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional technical teams

  • Ability to work in an incident response or on-call support rotation if required
