Our client is a newly established company, currently seeking authorisation from Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) to operate as an FX Broker. Committed to transparency, regulatory excellence, and superior client service, the company is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead its regulatory and operational functions.

Role Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of a newly established Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF). The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework governing investment firms and demonstrate the leadership, governance, and management skills required to ensure the effective operation of the Company. A comprehensive understanding of the activities and obligations of a CySEC - regulated investment firm is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Executive Director will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the Company complies with all applicable legal and regulatory obligations and maintaining oversight of its activities and operations

• Setting company strategies and ensures continuing operations

• Holding regular meetings to review operational, financial, and strategic matters

• Providing guidance and direction to Senior Management and Department Heads on strategic and operational issues

• Ensuring the timely receipt and review of reports relating to internal audit, compliance, AML compliance, and risk management functions

• Maintaining a thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing Cyprus Investment Firms (CIF)

• Dedicating sufficient time and attention to effectively discharge the duties associated with the position

• Overseeing and monitoring management decision-making where appropriate

• Periodically assessing the effectiveness of the Company's policies, procedures, controls, and governance arrangements

• Identifying and addressing deficiencies or weaknesses in internal controls and procedures

• Reviewing and addressing matters raised by CySEC and other relevant regulatory authorities and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented

• Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, investment services, and investor protection

• Participating in Board decisions regarding the appointment of key function holders, including the Compliance Officer, AML Compliance Officer, Internal Auditors, and External Auditors, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements

• Reviewing and approving marketing communications and promotional materials prior to publication

Remuneration Package

• Salary Range: EUR 5,000 – EUR 7,000 per month

• 13th Salary
