Dromon Bureau of Shipping (www.dromon.com), an International Classification Society and an EU accredited Verification body, is seeking the employment of a GHG Emissions Verifier to support its verification activities for EU-MRV, IMO DCS and CSI schemes.

Major Duties

The Environmental Verifier shall have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for general administration tasks such as the typing and preparation of correspondence and reports as required.
• To undertake general financial administration such as invoicing, work in progress, data input etc. as required.
• To manage administrative support tasks (e.g. preparation of invoices for a business section and bank reconciliation etc.
• To provide PA support to the Environmental Manager if required, diary management, correspondence, liaison with customers, prospective customers, and suppliers.
• To liaise with customers in an efficient and courteous manner.
• To handle customer complaints in a calm, non-confrontational and courteous manner. To take responsibility for ensuring follow-up actions are taken and that in the case of a formal complaint the Environmental Manager is promptly informed.
• Contribute to the appraisal process actively and positively and follow up on agreed actions.
• To always work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Legislation and to follow all company procedures and guidelines which assist this and to always work in accordance with the company’s Policies and to undertake such other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.
• Ensuring of correct and suitable identification of all relevant documents used.
• Ensuring correct assignment of numbering.
• Ensuring use of correct issue of controlled documents and reference material.
• Execution of independent review in an efficient, unbiased, way in full compliance to Organization’s and national and international requirements as applicable.
• Prompt and accurate reporting.
• Use of correct issue of controlled documents and reference material.
• Reporting non-conformities as found.
• Correct and accurate identification of all documents received or produced.
• Proper use of myDromon platform.

Minimum Qualifications:

• University Degree in Shipping / Mechanical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering.
• Trained as an external emissions verifier (EU-MRV and/or EU-ETS and/or IMO DCS).
• At least one (1) year experience working in the maritime industry involved in technical and/or quality related items. Technical related items and experience can be demonstrated through surveying and/or superintend and/or plan approval activities. Quality related items and experience can be demonstrated through HSQE and/or appointment as DPA/CSO activities.
• Knowledge of and experience in sector specific technical monitoring and reporting aspects.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.
• To be competent in English language commensurate with future work.
• Decision making, pragmatic approach.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines.
• Computer literate.
