Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Internal Controls Assistant to support the daily activities of the Internal Controls team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone at the start of their career who wishes to gain experience in business operations, administration, and compliance. The position offers significant growth potential for the right candidate, with the opportunity to develop and progress within the organisation over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the onboarding process of new customers and suppliers by collecting, reviewing, and verifying the required documentation in accordance with applicable internal policies and compliance procedures.

  • Conduct background checks and cross-reference information through the approved compliance search engines and screening tools.

  • Support data entry, data cleanup, and the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records within the company’s systems.

  • Assist the Compliance and Internal Controls teams with administrative, operational, and monitoring tasks.

  • Follow up on pending documentation, missing information, and outstanding actions to ensure timely completion of onboarding and compliance processes.

  • Assist with the drafting, updating, and implementation of internal policies, procedures, and control frameworks.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to internal controls, compliance, and operational processes.

  • Provide general operational and administrative support to the department as required.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BSc or equivalent)

  • Previous work experience is not required; motivated graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Strong IT aptitude and confidence using multiple systems and digital tools

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

  • Fluency in Greek and English
