Overview
Reporting to the Administrative and Financial Director, the Junior Accountant supports the day-to-day financial operations of the School. The role focuses on coordination, data accuracy, and financial monitoring, acting as a key interface between internal teams and external accounting and payroll providers. It offers broad exposure to accounting, finance, and administrative processes in an international (AEFE) environment.
This position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the candidate profile and availability.
Key responsibilities
- Act as main point of contact with external accounting and payroll providers
- Ensure timely and accurate transmission of financial data and supporting documents
- Review accounting and payroll outputs and follow up on discrepancies
- Manage tuition invoicing and monitor receivables (EDUKA)
- Follow up on outstanding balances and respond to parent enquiries
- Support payroll coordination (data collection, validation, review)
- Assist in monthly reporting and budget monitoring
- Ensure proper documentation and support audit and compliance processes
- Contribute to improving internal procedures and organization
Candidate profile
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-5 years’ experience
- Good Excel skills; knowledge of accounting systems is a plus
- Fluent in English and Greek; French is an advantage
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Working Conditions
