Position Overview

Farmakas Water is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Assistant Manager to oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations across the full business cycle, from production and quality control through to sales, logistics, and financial accounts.

In this role, you will be a key operational leader, supporting efficiency, compliance, and growth across departments, while helping the senior management team meet strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
1) Production Management
  • Supervise the water production process and ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production schedules to meet demand and minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate with the production team on maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations at all times.
  • Track and report on production output, waste, and efficiency metrics.
2) Sales and Customer Relations
  • Support and help drive the sales strategy to achieve revenue targets across retail, wholesale, and direct delivery channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
  • Identify new business opportunities and contribute to market expansion efforts.
  • Manage customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
3) Logistics and Distribution
  • Plan and oversee the distribution and delivery of water products to customers and retail partners.
  • Manage the vehicle fleet, driver scheduling, and route optimisation.
  • Liaise with third-party logistics providers where required.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate inventory replenishment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely dispatch records and delivery documentation.
4) Accounts and Financial Management
  • Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Monitor budgets and expenditures across departments and flag variances to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and cash flow statements.
  • Coordinate with external accountants and auditors as required.
  • Maintain accurate records in compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
5) General Management and Administration
  • Manage and motivate a cross-functional team, providing guidance and performance reviews.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports for senior management.
  • Handle procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
  • Act as a point of contact for regulatory authorities, suppliers, and stakeholders in the absence of the General Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an operations, management, or supervisory role, ideally within FMCG, food and beverage, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience managing multiple departments or functions simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience in logistics, supply chain, or distribution management is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and food safety regulations is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with ERP or accounting software is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills in Greek and English, written and spoken.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
