We are looking for a skilled and proactive Facilities Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our building systems and grounds. In this hands-on role, you will carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and manage repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural areas.

Essential responsibilities and duties
  • Preventive maintenance (PM): Conduct scheduled inspections and servicing of HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and fire/safety equipment to help prevent failures.
  • Repairs and troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and carry out hands-on repairs for electrical wiring, lighting, plumbing leaks, drywall, painting, door hardware, and building automation systems.
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS): Monitor and operate BAS and installed mechanical equipment.
  • Emergency response: Act as the primary contact for facility-related emergencies (fire alarms, security alarms, power outages, leakages, or system failures) and respond promptly to on-call duties.
  • Contractor management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and contract terms.
  • Building upkeep: Manage general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, swimming pool servicing, cleaning A/C filters, furniture assembly, and related tasks.
  • Grounds and facility upkeep: Perform or coordinate exterior maintenance, including parking lot and yard upkeep, repainting metal fences, and maintaining wooden doors/windows.
  • Documentation and reporting: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repair logs, and tool/parts inventory using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Safety and compliance: Help ensure the facility adheres to health and safety regulations, including maintaining fire safety equipment such as alarms and extinguishers.
Required skills and qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma. Associate degree or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or building maintenance is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience as a professional Plumber, Electrician, Mechanical Technician, Automation Technician, Facilities Maintenance Technician in commercial building operations, or a related trade field.
  • Technical knowledge: Proven knowledge of HVAC systems or electrical or plumbing or mechanical or automation systems.
  • Physical demands: Ability to lift 40+ kg, climb ladders (up to 5m), and work in varied environments (roofs, tight spaces).
  • Problem-solving: Strong diagnostic skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
  • Soft skills: Attention to detail, proactive mindset, and effective communication skills, including clear verbal and written reporting to supervisors, colleagues, and building occupants.
  • Languages: Verbal and written knowledge of Greek and English.
Key focus area

A multiskilled person with knowledge of more than one profession (electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, automation systems) will be considered more suitable for the position.

Working hours

5 days a week, 08:00 to 17:00, including weekends and holidays based on rotation with the rest of the team. Working on a holiday is paid double. Any overtime is exchanged with time off. Every maintenance employee is obligated for two weeks per month on-call duties outside working hours in case of emergency, which are included in the salary.

Manual driving license is a must.

Salary

Competitive salary (€1,916.67 - €3,500 gross monthly, depending on experience).
