CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a boutique provider of Corporate, Legal, Banking & Migration services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their growing team based in Ayia Napa. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another related field, who possess approximately 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a similar role. Proficiency in accounting software is essential, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations. A highly competitive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 16:30 from Monday to Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes efficiently.
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local tax regulations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and promptness.
• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with a proven track record in a similar role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and tax regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information clearly to clients and team members.
• A self-starter who takes initiative and is committed to achieving results.
