Tendering Engineer – CARAMONDANI ENGINEERS

Nicosia – Cyprus

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tendering Engineer to join our Tendering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tender submissions by analysing client drawings, gathering cost information from consultants and suppliers, and consolidating company costs into comprehensive offers.

This role is critical to the company’s success, as it ensures that our offers are both competitive and sustainable, avoiding the risk of being overpriced and losing tenders, while also preventing underpricing that could result in financial loss.

Responsibilities

  • Carefully study and measure drawings provided by the client/owner to understand the scope of work.
  • Collect and analyse prices, quotations, and cost inputs from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bills of quantities as part of the tender submission.
  • Consolidate company costs, overheads, and profit margins to prepare the final offer price with the Management.
  • Ensure all calculations are accurate, well-documented, and submitted within tender deadlines.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and management to validate cost assumptions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market prices, materials, and construction methods.
  • Support in preparing clarifications, alternative proposals, or adjustments requested by the client.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • Member of ETEK
  • Previous experience in tendering, cost estimation, or quantity surveying will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of AutoCAD or cost-estimation software will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills in Greek and English (both spoken and written).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Integrity, accuracy, and commitment to delivering reliable results.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation package based on skills and experience.
  • Professional growth in a supportive and collaborative environment.
  • The opportunity to work in a critical role that directly impacts the success of the company.
