A luxury 5-star resort in Limassol is seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join its world-class culinary team. The successful candidate will support the Chef de Cuisine in overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets the resort’s exceptional quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on maintaining consistency, mentoring kitchen staff, and driving excellence across all culinary activities.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations to maintain consistency in quality, presentation, and taste

Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all dishes while performing quality checks before service

Support the Chef de Cuisine in managing and motivating the culinary team to achieve operational goals

Take full ownership of kitchen operations in the Chef de Cuisine’s absence

Contribute to menu design, food presentation, and service style to enhance guest satisfaction

Train, coach, and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging growth

Conduct daily briefings and communicate operational updates effectively
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition

Monitor stock levels, control costs, and minimize waste

Enforce health, safety, and hygiene policies across the kitchen team

Collaborate with management to achieve financial and service objectives
-
Demonstrate creativity and high culinary standards, continuously striving for innovation

Attend departmental meetings and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Minimum 8 years of professional kitchen experience, including at least 4 years in a similar leadership role within a five-star hotel or luxury resort
-
Experience in pre-opening or high-volume operations will be considered an advantage
-
Proven success in delivering high-end cuisine and managing diverse, international teams
-
Culinary diploma from a recognized institution

Food Safety certification (ISO22000 preferred)

Additional management qualifications will be considered an asset
Skills & Attributes:

Strong hands-on culinary expertise and leadership skills

Excellent knowledge of food costing, menu engineering, and quality control

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Fluent in English and Greek; additional languages are an advantage

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven

Competitive salary: €2,600–€2,900 gross/month (5 working days) or €3,120–€3,480 (6 working days)

14th salary – Easter Bonus which is 20% of the monthly salary (eligibility upon completion of 10 months of service)

Provident Fund – Discretionary - Company matches up to 5% of gross salary (eligibility upon completion of 6 months of service)

Sunday Allowance – 25% of daily salary if an employee works on a Sunday

Night Shift Allowance – 20% of daily salary (if the shift falls between 03:00am – 05:30am)
