The Radisson Beach Resort Larnaca is looking for a Technician (plumber) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on plumbing systems, equipment, fixtures, and installations to detect and prevent potential problems.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and replace defective plumbing equipment, pipes, valves, fittings, pumps, and other components.
• Install, test, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, sewage, hot water, and other plumbing systems.
• Diagnose plumbing malfunctions and leaks using appropriate tools and testing equipment to locate the source of problems and carry out the necessary repairs.
• Test water pressure, flow, temperature, and drainage systems to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, pumps, water heaters, tanks, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Inspect plumbing systems, equipment, and components to identify leaks, blockages, corrosion, defects, and potential safety hazards.
• Install and connect pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, sanitary fixtures, and other plumbing components according to specifications and applicable regulations.
• Perform installation and maintenance of hot and cold-water supply systems.
• Maintain and repair drainage and sewage systems, including clearing blockages and replacing damaged components.
• Work with various types of piping materials, including copper, PVC, PPR, HDPE, and other approved materials.
• Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, pipe-cutting and threading equipment, pressure-testing equipment, and other plumbing tools.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and inspections of pumps, water tanks, boilers, circulation systems, and other water-related equipment.
• Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment connected to plumbing systems.
• Ensure that plumbing installations comply with applicable safety standards, building regulations, and company procedures.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and replacement of parts.
• Identify situations where continued operation of plumbing equipment or systems may present a safety or property risk and advise management accordingly.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, including major leaks, blocked drainage systems, burst pipes, flooding, and water supply failures.
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and materials, working in confined spaces, and accessing difficult-to-reach areas.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and other elevated areas when required to install, maintain, or repair plumbing systems.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Maintain required plumbing licenses, certifications, or identification cards in accordance with governmental regulations.
• Communicate with the Chief Engineer regarding maintenance requirements, technical issues, repairs, and emergency situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Requirements:

• Basic skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building plumbing systems and equipment.
• Previous experience as a Plumber / Plumbing Technician, preferably in a hotel, resort, residence, or large commercial building.
• Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Hotel / Residences Maintenance and Management.
• Knowledge of Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing & Building Engineering.
• Good knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewage, hot water, and plumbing systems.
• Plumbing troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
• Ability to use plumbing hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and applicable plumbing/building regulations.
• EU citizen / EU work permit holder.
