We are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join our herpesvirus programs. This role offers strong potential for personal development and growth.
Job Purpose
As Project Manager for our herpesvirus programs, you will help drive the development of our herpesvirus candidates (e.g., HSV-1, HSV-2, VZV, CMV, EBV) from pre-clinical stage through to commercial readiness. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, including CMC, non-clinical, clinical, and regulatory, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver program milestones on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of herpesvirus development projects, from pre-clinical activities through clinical development and commercial readiness, with clear scope, timelines, ownership, and outcomes.
- Translate program strategy into actionable, integrated project plans across CMC, non-clinical, clinical, and regulatory workstreams, aligning stakeholders and driving execution against agreed milestones.
- Identify and manage scientific, operational, and regulatory risks, dependencies, and resource constraints; remove blockers and escalate issues with clear options and recommendations.
- Set up project governance and communication routines for the herpesvirus portfolio, including status reporting, dashboards, decision logs, and action tracking.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities across internal teams and external partners (CROs, CDMOs, laboratories, and consultants) to support consistent execution.
- Run working sessions and program meetings, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Improve processes, documentation, and tools to strengthen efficiency, transparency, and repeatability across the programs.
- Support planning and tracking of resources, schedules, and budgets to deliver within agreed parameters.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, confidentiality, and quality practices, aligned with GxP requirements and regulated drug development environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Virology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Pharmacy, or a related field preferred); an advanced degree is an advantage.
- Proven experience in project management within biotech/pharma drug development; exposure to antivirals, vaccines, or ideally herpesvirus programs is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of project management fundamentals (planning, risk management, stakeholder alignment) and a good understanding of the drug development lifecycle.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with project tools is an advantage.
- Languages: English (Greek, German or Russian would be an advantage).
