Royal PineRole: Financial Services Officer (Client Accountant)
In this role, you will own a portfolio of client companies end to end from week one, with a senior mentor working beside you. This is a remote role within Cyprus, so your location within the country does not matter. The firm is building its internal operating system and processes, and joining now gives you the opportunity to take ownership of client work while helping improve how the firm runs.
What you will do
- Process accounting transactions for your portfolio of client companies
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Maintain loan registers and calculate loan interest
- Maintain the fixed assets register
- Help prepare management accounts, reports and annual financial statements under IFRS
- Process fund accounting and assist with fund administration
- Run payroll
- Liaise with the Tax, VAT and Social Insurance authorities
- Help prepare annual tax computations
- Liaise with auditors and facilitate the audit for your portfolio
- Act as the point of contact between stakeholders, accountants and auditors
What you need
- A degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Around two to three years of accounting experience
- Accurate, comfortable with numbers, and solid Excel skills
- Strong written and spoken Greek and English
- Reliable, organised, steady in a fast-paced environment, and able to work alone and in a team
- A plus (not required): IFRS, VAT, bookkeeping or reconciliation exposure, or Odoo or Esoft accounting systems

You will be graded on accuracy, timeliness, client continuity and your ACCA progress, not on hours at a desk. You will start by owning a portfolio under a senior mentor, with 30, 60 and 90 day reviews. As you prove yourself, you will take on more complex clients and can progress toward Senior Accountant and the lead track.

- Processes are still being built and will change; you are expected to help improve them
- You need a home setup where you can concentrate, reliable internet and the discipline to run your own day
- Work from home is unlimited, but you may be asked to come into the office when the work needs it
