Position: Senior Auditor

We are looking for a Senior Auditor to help lead the auditing processes in our Audit Department.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the planning and completion sections for manager review
• Manage the engagement from start to finish, including coordination, deadlines, and arranging meetings
• Lead the team’s work and stay up to date at all times on the engagement’s progress
• Coach the team in the field and ensure that no over-auditing or under-auditing is carried out
• Identify and communicate the most efficient testing strategies, ensuring documentation principles are followed by all team members
• Inform the manager promptly of any issues and communicate with the client’s accounts responsible to resolve issues identified
• Maintain a list of all outstanding points and items for discussion at all times
• Perform audits of difficult and high-risk areas as instructed by the team manager and agreed at the planning stage

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting and Finance or a relevant degree
• ACCA or ACA qualified
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in an audit role, preferably with a medium or large size audit firm
• Very good knowledge of IFRSs and ISAs
• Fluency in Greek and English (verbal and written)
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of CaseWare
• Pleasant personality, professionalism, and ability to work as part of a team and, when necessary, under strict reporting deadlines
• Integrity and reliability
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ambition to build a career as an Auditor and expand knowledge and experience
