On behalf of our client, a reputable Company operating within the pharmaceutical and consumer goods sector, we seek to recruit an experienced and high calibre professional for the position of Chief Financial Officer, based in Nicosia.
THE POSITION
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the finance and accounting function of the Company. More specifically, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will be the following, amongst others:

Lead and monitor the Company’s financial and accounting activities

Support the development and implementation of financial strategies to achieve Company goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with business objectives

Develop, implement, update and monitor financial processes and procedures to improve accuracy and operational effectiveness

Establish and maintain a robust financial reporting system, monitor financial data and related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify opportunities and areas for improvement and take corrective actions, if and when needed

Identify and manage financial risks and develop appropriate risk mitigation strategies, if and when needed

Establish, monitor and report budgets and financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making and take corrective action, if and when needed

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports, as required

Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with professional standards, applicable laws and regulations, and organisational policies

Monitor the performance of his/her team, provide leadership and direction and opportunities for further development

Manage and maintain strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or in any other related field

Professional qualification such as ACA / ACCA

At least five (5) years of related experience; experience within a related industry will be considered an advantage

Advanced knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Cyprus tax principles

Strong business and financial management acumen

Analytical thinking skills and attention to detail

Knowledge of the existing legislation and best practices related to his/her duties

Strong leadership qualities with developed interpersonal and communication skills

Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written

Excellent computer literacy, including exposure with computerized accounting software
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
