The Nines hotel in Ayia Napa is seeking an experienced and motivated Purchasing Manager to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the hotel's procurement activities, developing strong supplier relationships, controlling purchasing costs and ensuring the timely availability of quality products and services across all hotel departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the hotel's purchasing and procurement activities in accordance with operational requirements and approved budgets.

• Source, evaluate and select reliable suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, product quality and favourable commercial terms.

• Negotiate prices, contracts, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.

• Obtain and evaluate quotations and prepare purchasing orders in accordance with established purchasing procedures.

• Monitor stock levels and effectively manage inventory in collaboration with the relevant departments.

• Maintain effective supplier relationships and regularly assess supplier performance.

• Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and improved purchasing efficiency.

• Coordinate with the Executive Chef, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Finance and other departments to ensure timely procurement.

• Ensure that purchased goods meet the hotel's quality standards and relevant safety and hygiene requirements.

• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation and prepare regular reports on expenditure, supplier performance and cost savings.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, purchasing policies and budgetary requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in purchasing or procurement in any industry

• Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Good understanding of procurement procedures, inventory management and cost control

• Fluency in English and Greek languages

• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

• A proactive, detail-oriented and commercially minded approach
