CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established provider of Audit, Tax, Accountancy and Advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, we are seeking to recruit an Audit Manager to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, managing and overseeing audit engagements from commencement through to completion. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance, or another relevant field, and be a qualified member of the ACA/ACCA. Our client is seeking applicants with approximately 5+ years of audit experience within a professional services firm, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role. Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA and financial reporting requirements is essential, as well as experience with CaseWare and other audit software packages. An attractive remuneration and benefits package is on offer based on skills and experience, which includes a 13th salary, performance-based bonus, flexible working hours, Friday afternoon’s off, and paid parking. Standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Thursday, and from 08:00 – 14:00 each Friday.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Manage a portfolio of audit clients across various industries.
• Plan, supervise and review audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA), IFRS and firm methodologies.
• Review audit working papers, risk assessments and financial statements.
• Assess internal controls and identify business and financial reporting risks.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and those charged with governance.
• Monitor engagement budgets, timelines and profitability.
• Act as the primary client contact throughout audit engagements.
• Lead, mentor and develop Senior Auditors, Auditors and Trainees.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Support quality control reviews and regulatory inspections.
• Assist Partners and Directors with business development initiatives, proposals and fee quotations.
• Drive continuous improvement of audit methodologies and departmental processes.

Key Skills/Experience:  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years of audit experience within a professional services firm.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Proven experience managing audit engagements and client portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA and financial reporting requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of auditing methodologies, risk assessment and internal controls. 
• Excellent leadership, coaching and team management skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines. 
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship management skills. 
• High level of professional judgement, integrity and confidentiality. 
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Excel.  
• Experience with CaseWare and other audit software packages. 
• Knowledge of data analytics and audit technology tools is an advantage.
