CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a CySEC regulated Investment Firm with offices in Nicosia, we are seeking to recruit an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO) to join their growing team. As an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (AMLCO), you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the firm’s anti-money laundering and compliance framework. Our client is seeking applicants with strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws, securities regulation, and relevant EU/Cyprus regulatory frameworks, with the ability to conduct thorough KYC/KYB checks, customer risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity investigations. You will need to possess 2+ years of experience within the Compliance function of a CIF or a similar regulated financial services environment. An attractive remuneration package is on offer based on skills and experience, along with the option of some remote working days during the week.
 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:  

• Overseeing and implementing the firm’s anti-money laundering and compliance framework.
• Monitoring client transactions and activities for suspicious patterns.
• Conducting due diligence and enhanced due diligence checks, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to relevant regulatory and supervisory authorities.
• Drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies and procedures.
• Providing guidance to colleagues on regulatory requirements, and coordinating regular AML and compliance training for staff.
• Performing internal compliance reviews, supporting regulatory audits and inspections, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and guidelines, and preparing periodic compliance and risk reports for management.

Key Skills/Experience:  

• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws, securities regulation, and relevant EU/Cyprus regulatory frameworks.
• 2+ years' experience within the Compliance function of a CIF or a similar regulated financial services environment.
• Experience in compliance, risk management, or legal roles within financial services, preferably in a regulated investment or securities firm.
• Ability to conduct thorough KYC/KYB checks, customer risk assessments, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity investigations.
• Competence in drafting policies, procedures, and reports, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Greek language skills are considered an advantage.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and capacity to make sound, independent judgments under regulatory pressure.
• Proficiency with compliance and AML monitoring systems, as well as standard office software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., CAMS or equivalent) and/or a degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field is highly beneficial.
