We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Business Development Manager. The role offers strong potential for personal development and growth.
Job Purpose
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding FUICS’ partnerships, licensing activities, and commercial reach across the pharmaceutical industry. Working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, you will help identify, evaluate, and execute business opportunities that grow our pipeline and support the successful commercialization of our programs.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and prioritize new business opportunities, including in- and out-licensing, co-development, partnering, and service agreements, aligned with company strategy.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners, licensees, and clients across pharma and biotech.
- Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and landscape analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare business cases, deal models, valuations, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence activities in collaboration with scientific, regulatory, legal, and finance teams.
- Support the negotiation of term sheets, licensing agreements, CDAs, MTAs, and supply agreements together with leadership and legal counsel.
- Represent FUICS at industry conferences, partnering events, and client meetings, and manage outreach and follow-up.
- Manage ongoing alliances and partner relationships, ensuring contractual obligations and milestones are tracked and met.
- Maintain accurate records of opportunities, contacts, and deal progress, and provide regular reporting to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree (MSc, PhD, MBA) is an advantage.
- Proven experience in business development, licensing, or commercial roles within pharma/biotech.
- Good understanding of the drug development lifecycle and the pharmaceutical value chain.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with sound analytical and financial modeling abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; willingness to travel for conferences and partner meetings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with CRM tools is an advantage.
- Languages: English (Greek, German or Russian would be an advantage).
