On behalf of our client, a leading international Investment Firm we are seeking to recruit a high caliber candidate for the position of Senior Accountant, to be based at our client's premises in Limassol.
Job Duties
Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be focusing on:
- Oversee and manage the internal accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Prepare timely and accurate management accounts in accordance with IFRS, supporting informed business and strategic decision-making.
- Lead the preparation of group consolidations, ensuring the accurate consolidation of financial information across the organisation's portfolio of companies.
- Coordinate and support external audits, acting as a key liaison with auditors and other stakeholders to facilitate efficient and compliant audit processes.
- Review quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial analysis and insights to management.
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and other responsibilities as assigned by management, contributing to the continuous improvement of the finance function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a reputable university.
- A professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA is essential.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit, ideally gained within a Big4 accounting firm and/or a corporate group environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal.
- A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and the ability to maintain the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality
