Our client delivers government-funded migration, reintegration and citizen services across more than 40 countries, spanning three business units. As they scale, quality, demonstrable compliance and independently recognised accreditation are strategic assets that underpin how they win, retain and deliver work for the governments and international agencies that fund them.
About the role
The Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager owns and develops the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS) and leads the accreditation strategy. As the quality lead and management representative, you will set standards, run the internal audit and assurance programme, embed a culture of continuous improvement across a global operation, and provide independent assurance to leadership, clients and funders.
This is a hands-on, build-and-run role in a lean, multi-country organisation. It suits someone who has taken an organisation through ISO certification before and is comfortable owning both the detail and the strategy.
Location and reporting line
- Cyprus-based (Limassol office/hybrid), with some travel to Sheffield, Belgium, Australia and other operational locations as required
- Reports to: Business Improvement Manager
What you will do
- Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS) as the organisation’s quality lead.
- Lead the accreditation strategy and take the organisation through certification, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Establish and run the internal audit and assurance programme.
- Set the SOP, document control and service-standard framework.
- Drive continuous improvement and embed the methodology across teams.
- Provide assurance and insight to leadership, clients and funders.
What we are looking for
Essential experience and skills
- Proven experience leading or managing a quality function in a service, operational, public service or regulated environment.
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and maintaining ISO certification (particularly ISO 9001; ISO 27001 highly advantageous), acting as management representative.
- Experience designing and running an internal audit programme.
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, with evidence of delivering measurable improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior level.
- Strong analytical, reporting and written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently and lead across time zones and cultures.
Desirable
- Recognised Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 and/or ISO 27001).
- People and line management experience.
- Migration, humanitarian, international development or government service experience.
- Experience embedding quality evidence into bids and tenders.
- Experience of Cyber Essentials or information security accreditation.
- Familiarity with funder or donor audit and open-book reporting requirements.
- Additional languages (e.g. Spanish, French, Arabic) given the global footprint.
Qualifications, education and development
Essential
- Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
- A recognised quality qualification (e.g. CQI/IRCA membership, Internal or Lead Auditor).
- Strong IT and data literacy, including Excel, case management systems and reporting tools.
Desirable
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001 and/or ISO 27001).
- Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt).
- Project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM).
- Chartered Quality Professional (CQP MCQI) or working towards it.
