CareerFinders Recruitment Services LtdCareerFinders, on behalf of our client, one of Cyprus’ leading land and building developers, we are seeking to recruit an In-House Lawyer to join their growing team based in Limassol. As an In-House Lawyer, you will work as part of an established Legal Team, handling a range of legal matters relating to both Corporate & Real-Estate Law. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Law, who are Cyprus Qualified Lawyers. You will need to possess approximately 3+ years of relevant experience, either gained working for a Law Firm or within an in-house capacity. Prior legal experience in the Real Estate sector will be considered an advantage, and fluency in both Greek and English is essential. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drafting commercial contracts, sale and purchasing agreements, tenancy agreements and other legal agreements and documents.
- Provision of support, legal advice, assistance, and guidance on legal matters related to property, immigration, including but not limited to corporate, real estate, investment, and compliance matters.
- Managing the group’s corporate secretary work, i.e. opening files, organizing meetings, email management and drafting legal correspondence and letters.
- Performing as a legal and corporate focal point in commercial negotiations with company’s current and prospective clients.
- Preparing, executing, processing, and/or reviewing all type of legal documents (Contracts of sale, tenancy agreements, legal applications etc.).
- Performing legal research.
- Provision of legal advice to the clients of the company with regards to their transactions.
- Opening of Bank accounts in Cyprus and abroad.
- Handling all aspects of Cyprus Immigration applications-PR schemes.
- Consultation of corporate and immigration clients, maintaining client relations, attending meetings.
- Formation of Companies.
- Assist with educating employees with respect to compliance and legal and regulatory requirements, contracting process and various other areas of responsibilities.
- Dealing with employment matters which may arise from time to time in relation to the employees of the group.
- Being able to complete the assigned tasks and revert within the assigned deadlines.
Key Skills/Experience:
- University degree in Law from a reputable University.
- LL.M (Master of Laws), especially in Real Estate or Legal Practice Course (LPC) will be considered an advantage.
- Minimum 3 years’ previous in-house or law firm experience.
- Fluent in both Greek and English, both written and verbal is a must.
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association (or being able to be a member of the Cyprus Bar Association).
- Excellent knowledge and ability to understand contents of Property Law & immigration material (procedures, applications, legal framework).
- Advanced drafting skills with attention to detail (drafting of sales agreements, tenancy agreements, and other legal agreements).
- Experience in Permanent Residency procedures and applications.
- Compliance and regulatory experience will be considered as an advantage.
- Computer literate (MS Office applications, word, excel, outlook etc.).
- Responsible, attentive to details, accurate, positive, and supportive.
- Understanding of confidentiality rules and non-disclosure policies.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to take initiatives, work under minimum direction and take responsibility for own actions.
- Comfortable multi-tasking and able to deliver results under pressure.
- Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, ambitious and a team player.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous experience in the field of Real Estate will be considered an advantage.
- GDPR knowledge will be considered an advantage.
