Chief Compliance Officer

The Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Company’s regulatory compliance framework. This role ensures the Company operates in full adherence to applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal standards, and advises the Management Board on compliance-related risks, policies, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold ultimate responsibility for the functioning and effectiveness of the Compliance Department.

• Act as the primary liaison with supervisory authorities on all compliance matters.

• Develop and oversee the institution-wide compliance framework, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.

• Develop and maintain the Company’s general compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.

• Monitor changes in applicable legal and regulatory requirements and ensure relevant adjustments are made to the Company’s compliance framework.

• Advise the Management Board on compliance risks and support strategic and operational decision-making by identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory exposures.

• Coordinate regulatory audits and inspections in areas under the Chief Compliance Officer’s remit, assisting in supervisory reporting where applicable.

• Collaborate with the MLRO in an advisory capacity on AML/CFT topics, while not being directly responsible for that function.

• Collaborate with the CISO on compliance with information security and operational resilience regulations, including DORA, PCI DSS and NIS2, recognising that responsibility for these areas lies with the CISO.

• Collaborate with the DPO on personal data protection and GDPR compliance, while not acting as the designated officer for data protection matters.

• Coordinate with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to align compliance oversight with the Company’s overall risk management framework.

• Support compliance awareness and training across the organisation in regulatory domains falling within the scope of the Compliance Department’s activities.
