Marks & Spencer Cyprus Head Office — Nicosia

Marks & Spencer Cyprus is looking for an Accounting Officer to join its Head Office in Nicosia.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who is organized, detail-oriented and looking to develop within a well-established retail organization.

The successful candidate will become part of the company’s Finance Department and will work closely with the accounting team, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Posting accounting entries and maintaining ledgers
• Processing accounts payable transactions
• Performing cash and bank reconciliations
• Supporting month-end closing procedures
• Organizing, checking, and filing accounting documents
• Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

Candidate Profile

• At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Good understanding of bookkeeping and core accounting principles
• Experience with ERP or accounting software, such as Navision / Dynamics Business Central or a similar system
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions and meet deadlines
• Accuracy, responsibility and attention to detail
• Team spirit and good communication skills
