POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor, Security Technology provides the Security Department with the implementation, supervision and on-going maintenance and control of various security technology related systems and applications. The Supervisor, Security Technology also performs a range of support functions, including training of security personnel and general administrative duties as required. The Supervisor, Security Technology always displays the highest level of professionalism, discretion and customer service for both internal and external customers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implements and maintains access control systems and protocols for casino properties and office locations in collaboration with the department’s management
- Assists with the development of policies and SOP’s for security technology areas of responsibility, and ensures their effective delivery for maximal protection of MELCO assets
- Assists with the development and implementation of security related training programs
- Continuously evaluates the effectiveness of security technology systems and recommends enhancements and improvements accordingly
- Liaises with and supervises external contractors to ensure systems deliver the expected levels of service, in accordance with MELCO and regulatory standards
- Supervises the effectiveness and efficiency of security control systems and liaises with the IT department to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data bases
- Supervises system software maintenance where necessary in conjunction with the IT department
- Identifies, recommends and implements cost savings throughout the department in order to improve company and divisional budgets and MELCO group EBITDA
- Reviews systems contracts and assists management with contractual requirements as required
- Maintains an in-depth knowledge of the relevant technology and its applications and recommends new technology and applications to ensure best practice
- Inputs data from Security Department internal audits and collates statistical information
- Assists with the scheduling and time management of Security Department staff
- Maintains and updates Security Department training records as required in collaboration with the H&S Officer and HR Training & Development
- Provides on-call support 24/7 in instances of system failure
- Provides administrative support to the department’s management as needed
- Ensures all departmental supplies and equipment are available and in good working order
- Reports accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to management and H&S
- Encourages a positive working relationship between security staff and other departments within the company
- Performs any other reasonable job duties as assigned by the department’s management from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Degree or equivalent certification in security technology, electrical engineering, electronics or a related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS office including Word, Excel.
- Very good level of English, both spoken and written
- Experience with security access control systems
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in security systems management and related information technologies
Preferred:
- Experience with Photo ID applications
- Demonstrated ability in project planning and management
- Demonstrating ability in developing productive relationships and managing and driving change
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, in particular the requirements as outlined by the Cyprus Gaming Commission, the Cyprus Civil Law, the EU Labour Ordinance and the GDPR Law
