POSITION OF HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER

JOB PURPOSE

The Health & Safety Officer oversees and manages quality management systems such as Health and Safety and any other quality system the company may decide to implement, ensuring their effective implementation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops, implements, monitors, and reviews of the hotel's quality management systems.
• Ensures the alignment of the Integrated Management Systems with applicable standards and relevant legislation requirements.
• Provide an overview of the processes necessary to obtain all hotel licenses within the required timeframe.
• Facilitates the Health and Safety committee and serves as the liaison between employees and management for Health and Safety matters.
• Assist the F&B Department in implementing Food Safety procedures as per the Management System's requirements.
• Prepares reports to aid management decisions.
• Develops, implements, and oversees environmental strategies that advance sustainable development.
• Integrates ESG principles into hotel operations and strategies.

GENERAL

• Follow the Hotel’s internal operating regulations as per the Employee’s Handbook,
• Follow the staff rotas in accordance with business levels; inform their superior should there be any problems with their scheduled working hours,
• Maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all team members and suppliers,
• Perform the duties with maximum efficiency and in the most productive manner,
• Comply with Cyprus legislation and be conversant with and act in accordance with any such matters relating to their department,
• Attend and contribute to all staff meetings/briefings and other related activities,

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• A relevant bachelor’s or master’s Degree
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Health and Safety or Management Systems
• Fluent Greek and English Language.
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem resolving skills.
• Computers and Microsoft Office excellent user
• Confidentiality and professionalism
• Health and safety recognized certification
• Proved training on ISO Standards
