Foley’s School is a private international school in Limassol, known for academic excellence, strong discipline, and a rich extracurricular programme.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Greek as a Second Language to join our Secondary School team from September 2026. In this role, you will teach pupils who are learning Greek as an additional language, delivering high-quality lessons in a supportive and engaging environment. You will also prepare students for GCSE Greek and Ellinomatheia examinations (A1 to C1).

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Greek as a Foreign/Second Language at GCSE level and support preparation for Ellinomatheia exams from A1 to C1
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons in an inclusive classroom environment
• Prepare pupils for external examinations, including GCSE Greek and Ellinomatheia A1 to C1
• Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing, liaising with colleagues where appropriate
• Contribute to school life, including meetings, parent evenings, trips and extracurricular activities
• Support curriculum development and take ownership of a subject area or initiative
• Uphold school values, behaviour policies, and high standards of health and safety

Requirements

• Degree in Greek Language, Greek Philology or a related field
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching Greek as a second language
• Experience preparing pupils for Greek language examinations, ideally including GCSE Greek and/or Ellinomatheia exams
• Commitment to high academic standards and student-centred learning
• Strong communication, organisational and teamwork skills
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and wider school life
• Alignment with the School’s mission and values

Desirable

• International school experience
• Experience teaching GCSE Greek or preparing pupils for external examinations
• Familiarity with Ellinomatheia examination levels A1 to C1
• Ability to teach an additional modern foreign language
• Experience working with pupils from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
