CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long-established independent firm which provides a wide range of financial services to clients including accounting, audit, taxation, management, and consulting services, we are seeking to recruit a Client Accountant to join their growing team based in Limassol. As a Client Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records for a portfolio of clients operating across numerous industries. As part of your role, you will prepare and submit VAT & VIES returns, perform bank, debtors, and creditors reconciliations, and work closely with the Audit Department. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Accounting, Finance or other closely related fields, and holders of, or those working towards a professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting is essential, and knowledge of taxation is a must. An attractive remuneration package is on offer, based on skills and experience, and working hours are from 08:00 – 16:30 from Monday to Friday.  

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Maintaining accurate accounting records for a group of companies in numerous industries.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns and VIES.
• Handling of taxation maters.
• Performance of bank, debtors, and creditors reconciliation.
• Liaising with clients via telephone and/or email to ensure accurate accounting records.
• Responsible for the proper and accurate filing of all documents.
• Liaising with the audit department.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Holders of, or those working towards any professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.
• Approximately 2-5 years of experience in a relevant role is a must.
• Proficiency in accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of taxation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
