On behalf of our client, a well-established boutique professional services firm, providing audit, tax and advisory services and supported by professionals with more than 30 years of experience in leading international firms, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper recording and maintenance of accounting books and ledger accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, collections and reconciliations.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial results and internal reporting.
• Provide support in the development of budgets and financial projections.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with tax obligations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks and other external parties when necessary.
• Oversee and review staff expense submissions to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting position.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Good understanding of local financial regulations and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience with Sofia accounting software will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
