The University of UCLan Cyprus will be employing new Academic Staff within the School of Arts, Media and Communication to begin in September 2026.

We are pleased to announce an opening for a Full-time Lecturer in Fashion Design with specialisation in one or more of the following subject areas:

• Textile Design

• Garment Construction

• Pattern Making

• Digital Fashion.

Applicants for the above position must hold a PhD (or have submitted their thesis and are awaiting their viva) with a proven record of research achievement and have demonstrable experience of delivering teaching in Higher Education. A professional qualification in their field of expertise will be considered an advantage. Experience in CPD and professional training will be considered an advantage.

Some of the aforementioned specialties are regarded as being of outstanding and undeniable particularity, for which writing a PhD thesis and earning a doctoral degree are in many cases either not feasible or uncommon. A PhD degree is therefore not essential for applying for the aforementioned position although it will be considered as an advantage. Ideally, we are looking for team players with a proven track record in Higher Education teaching, and professional practice experience. Experience in CPD and professional training will be considered an advantage too. A Master’s degree and fluency in English are both essential for the position. This is a 3-year position in the first instance.
