Almond Recruitment, on behalf of our client (an international leading accounting firm), is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their Nicosia office. This role offers the opportunity to work in a professional and positive environment with a focus on career growth and self-development.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Director of Compliance in compliance-related activities.
• Assist with relevant reporting obligations to CySEC and internally.
• Support the design and review of internal policies and procedures and applicable regulations, and make recommendations to the Director of Compliance.
• Cooperate with various departments to ensure procedures align with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodic reviews of client files.
• Support compliance project work as required.
• Ensure adherence to AML, KYC, CDD, and EDD requirements.
• Ensure incidents, breaches, and suspicious transactions are identified, recorded, and escalated to the Director of Compliance.
• Investigate and escalate identified risks, breaches, or compliance concerns in line with internal policies.
• Perform inspections to evaluate the Company’s compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and report outcomes to the Director of Compliance.
• Stay up to date with local and international AML laws, regulations, and developments.
• Carry out other assigned compliance-related tasks, including administrative duties.
• Provide compliance-related training, support, and guidance to internal teams, according to the instructions of the Director of Compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the accounting, fiduciary, or financial sector.
• Strong understanding of AML regulations and frameworks.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong ability to analyse information.
• Excellent research skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being a team player.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Greek and English.
• CySEC AML Certificate will be considered an advantage.

Salary

• €2,000 to €2,500 gross
