Demetriou & Associates Business Advisers Ltd (dba) is looking for experienced Senior Tax Associate (ACA or ACCA) to join our team.

dba is a dynamic firm of professional accountants and business advisers located in a prime location in the center of Nicosia. We are members of an international association of accountancy firms and business advisers DFK International.

dba – Tax Senior Associate – Nicosia

The successful candidate will be:

• Liaise with clients, overview and manage Cyprus Income Tax and VAT compliance issues
• Calculate tax provisions in coordination with the Accounting Department and arrange for payments of taxes
• Review the tax computations of clients’ Financial Statements and liaise with the Audit Department
• Prepare and/or assist with the preparation of Transfer Pricing Studies for clients.
• Review of agreements and transactions to be entered into from a tax/VAT point of view
• Discuss tax structures/risks on projects where Cyprus entities are involved
• Preparation of tax memos regarding the tax aspects of transactions
• Liaise with the Tax Department on clients’ tax matters
• Effectively collaborate with management for planning and meeting the tax deadlines
• Other ad­hoc tasks and reporting as required

Required qualifications:

• Relevant University degree or professional qualification
• 2-5 years experience in a similar position from an audit or tax advisory firm
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point)
• Have the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
• Have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships
• Take a proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions
• Experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop business relationships
