The Nines hotel is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, organised, and detail-oriented Baker to join our kitchen team and contribute to the preparation of fresh, high-quality baked goods for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to the hotel's requirements.
• Ensure consistency in quality, taste, texture, and presentation.
• Follow the Pastry Chef’s recipes, production schedules, and portion-control standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
• Monitor ingredient stocks and inform the Pastry Chef of replenishment needs.
• Minimise waste while maintaining high product quality.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and availability of baked goods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in baking, pastry production, or a similar kitchen role.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
• Very good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Good knowledge of the English language.
