The company is looking for a finance leader who enjoys being close to the business. As well as advising the CEO, you will personally drive the monthly reporting cycle, product costing, stock control and cash planning, working hand in hand with production, logistics and sales. It is a role for someone who likes to get into the detail and make things happen, while keeping sight of the wider direction of the business. Success will show in tighter cost control, healthier margins and cash generation, and forecasts the leadership team can rely on.
YOUR MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS
- Own the monthly and annual closing process, producing accurate management accounts and reports that the leadership team can act on.
- Keep a close eye on cash: plan liquidity week by week, manage collections and payments, and maintain strong relationships with the company’s banks.
- Develop product costing across raw materials, production and distribution, analyse variances, and help the commercial team set prices that protect margins.
- Make sure stock is correctly valued and controlled across the company’s factories and warehouses.
- Lead the annual budget and regular reforecasts, and review results against plan with each department.
- Work with production management on efficiency and productivity, using clear and practical KPIs.
- Assess proposed investments in equipment and technology, and follow up on the return they deliver.
- Look after compliance: IFRS reporting, Cyprus tax, the annual audit, and a sound system of internal controls and risk management, including customer credit.
- Act as the company’s point of contact with auditors, lawyers and other external advisors.
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team, and keep improving processes and the ERP system.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with a degree in accounting, finance, economics or business.
- At least five years in a senior finance position, such as Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Finance Director, preferably in food manufacturing, FMCG or another production environment. Strong Financial Controllers ready for their next step are also welcome to apply.
- A solid, practical background in costing and stock, ideally across more than one site.
- Comfortable with ERP systems and an advanced Excel user.
- Good working knowledge of IFRS and Cyprus tax.
- A clear communicator who builds trust with management, colleagues and external partners.
- A person of integrity who can be trusted with sensitive information.
WHY THIS ROLE
- A highly competitive package, with 13th salary, provident fund and private medical insurance
- A seat at the leadership table and real influence on the company’s direction
- A stable, respected employer with a people-centric culture that invests in its people for the long term
