Parklane Hotels Ltd is hiring a Loss Prevention Officer

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees. The role includes routine patrols, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and completing accurate reports, while following company policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property, secure rooms, and assist guests with room access.
• Carry out emergency response drills and perform daily hazard and safety inspections.
• Support investigations and interviews, and complete key control audits.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Authorize, monitor, and document access to secured areas.
• Assist guests and employees during emergency situations.
• Respond to accidents, contact EMS, or administer first aid/CPR when required.
• Gather information and complete incident and safety reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of reports and documents, and share information only with authorized individuals.
• Defuse disturbances in line with company policies and procedures.
• Identify and resolve safety hazard situations.
• Handle interruptions and complaints, and escort unwelcome persons from the property when needed.
• Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage control laws.
• Call for assistance using the appropriate code responses.
• Provide proper paperwork to employees.
• Support management by assisting with training, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and act as a first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, and injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Protect company assets and keep proprietary information confidential.
• Support co-workers with dignity and respect, contribute to team goals, and comply with quality assurance standards.

Qualifications

• High school education is required.
• Security License is required.
• 1 or 2+ years of experience in the same position in a hotel environment.
• Good understanding of English, both written and spoken.
• Customer-centric approach.
• Good communication skills.
