Parklane Hotels Ltd is looking for a Loss Prevention Control Room Operator to support site safety and security by continuously monitoring CCTV, access control, alarms, and fire and life-safety systems. This role requires strong attention to detail, calm decision-making in emergencies, and clear communication during incident response.
Duties and responsibilities
- Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, security alarms, and fire and life-safety systems.
- Identify suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, safety hazards, security breaches, or other unusual activity and take appropriate action.
- Dispatch Loss Prevention Officers to incidents or alarm activations, providing clear information and updates.
- Monitor electronic gates, doors, and restricted areas, and report unauthorized access or misuse of access credentials.
- Respond to emergencies and alarms in line with established emergency and escalation procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and prepare clear, factual, and timely incident reports.
- Review and preserve CCTV footage when appropriately authorized and support investigations when required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding CCTV footage, security records, and guest and associate information, in line with applicable data-protection requirements.
- Report immediately any malfunction or deficiency involving CCTV, access control, alarms, or other security systems.
- Keep the Control Room as a secure, restricted-access area and ensure continuous coverage of the post.
- Conduct proper shift handovers, communicating incidents, system faults, and outstanding matters.
- Report security vulnerabilities, suspicious activity, or other risks immediately to the Loss Prevention Manager.
- Carry out other reasonable Loss Prevention duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous CCTV, Control Room, or security experience is preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience will be considered an advantage.
- Ability to operate CCTV, access-control, alarm, and communication systems.
- High level of vigilance, concentration, and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and make appropriate decisions during emergencies.
- Good communication and incident-reporting skills.
- Strong integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills.
- Good command of Greek and English.
Working hours
Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
