Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Finance Department functions, monitor performance, plan capacity, and manage recruitment and onboarding of new team members.

• Safeguard client funds, ensuring funds are segregated and reconciliations are performed and documented daily in line with the Safeguarding Policy.

• Maintain the safeguarding accounts register and ensure proper and timely reporting of newly opened or closed safeguarding accounts in line with applicable requirements.

• Monitor capital adequacy, oversee calculations and reporting, arrange preparation of capital adequacy forecasts, implement KRI alerting, and ensure eligible capital does not fall below applicable legal requirements.

• Analyse, organise and administer the Company’s accounting systems, ensuring accuracy of accounting and financial data.

• Arrange preparation of financial statements and reports for the Company’s management bodies and the regulator or other institutions, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and legislation.

• Ensure timely responses to internal and external audit requests, address findings, and ensure remediation plans are adequately resourced, tracked and implemented.

• Organise the annual audit of the Company’s financial statements within deadlines set by applicable law.

• Approve the Company’s annual financial statements prepared by the Chief Accountant and the accounting team.

• Manage treasury investments in line with the Investment Policy, regularly update the Investment Policy, and arrange investment portfolio reports including sensitivity testing according to the Investment Policy.

• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of reports required by regulations and internal procedures.

• Manage and regularly update the Company’s Accounting Policy.

• Lead the annual budget preparation process and submit it for approval to the Company’s management bodies.
