Summary

A Limassol-based food hall and HoReCa distributor, seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to support the efficient day-to-day accounting operations.

Additional Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join our food hall and food & beverage distribution company, based in the heart of Limassol.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar position, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage daily bookkeeping tasks efficiently and accurately. The role requires an individual who can support the smooth running of the accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and ensure proper data entry
• Prepare and process invoices, payments and bank reconciliations
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments
• Record daily transactions, including sales, expenses and supplier invoices
• Liaise with external auditors and banks
• Prepare VAT data for submission
• Support PAYE calculations and submissions in accordance with local requirements
• Prepare and process monthly payroll, including calculation of salaries and contributions
• Prepare Social Insurance and related contributions
• Perform general administrative and accounting duties
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting, as required
• Maintain proper filing and organisation of all financial documentation
• Ensure an overall smooth day-to-day operation of the bookkeeping function

Requirements:

• At least 3–5 years of previous experience in a bookkeeping role. Experience within the HoReCa or FMCG sector will be considered a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus VAT, PAYE and Social Insurance procedures
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with AXLE accounting software will be considered an advantage
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English language (verbal & written)
• Strong analytical and organisational skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Professional, trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
