Career and skills development are at the heart of Kyndryl and an essential part of The Kyndryl Way.  Our employee learning programs provide access to some of the best learning in the industry and certifications for Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Skillsoft and many more. 30,000 employees have received certificates from our alliance partners like VMware, Cisco, Red Hat, Azure and AWS.

Kyndryl Compass empowers all our employees to define their goals, review progress and get feedback from colleagues and managers throughout the year. They can also conduct skills self-assessments to define the next steps in their development and careers.

Our global mentorship program provides Kyndryls with the access and opportunity to have mentors across the business who can play an invaluable role in supporting and shaping their future career journey.

Our Culture

When we launched Kyndryl, we set out to define a culture that encompasses our desire to create shared success for employees, customers, investors and partners. This journey included a multi-day culture exchange open to all Kyndryls around the world and culminated in the formulation of The Kyndryl Way.

The Kyndryl Way is a set of six key principles that define our services-based culture: We want to be restless, empathetic and devoted in the way we engage with one another, our customers, partners and communities; and we want to organize ourselves to work in a way that is flat, fast and focused to better serve our customers as a true services organization.

The Kyndryl Way is about how Kyndryls work together and deliver value, and has been foundational to our business growth.

We focus continuously on building the culture we want for our employees and to support this we set up our Culture Ambassador Network. This is a community of employee change champions working to help Kyndryl build and activate its aspirational culture. Kyndryl Culture Ambassdors live, breathe and personify The Kyndryl Way. With over 1000 Ambassadors across 41 countries, the program provides a great opportunity for our employees to influence our culture in the future.

Our Kyndryl Inclusion Networks are one of the ways we create a workplace where all Kyndryls can find and provide advice and support. Kyndryl Inclusion Networks (KINS) are employee-led resource groups organized around a shared identity such as race, gender, sexual identity or disability. KINS work together to continue the advancement of their respective communities and create an engaging and inclusive experience for members. These groups are a great way for employees to build their Kyndryl network and support the activation of The Kyndryl Way.

Social Impact

From day one, we identified sustainability as a priority for both our corporate culture and corporate operations. And it’s not just something we say—it’s something we live. Here are just a few examples:

One Tree Planted

When Kyndryl launched, we partnered with global organization One Tree Planted to plant a tree in honor of every employee worldwide. Since then, we’ve hosted employee planting events around the world and supported tree planting initiatives that have planted over 300,000 trees.

Zero GHG commitment

Our environmental strategy focuses on reducing emissions related to our business. Notably, we committed to achieving a 50% reduction in our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030 and adopting 100% renewable energy. Our aim is to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040.

Mission Net Zero: Sustainability education for all Kyndryls

We make sure every Kyndryl has access to sustainability education. We even plant a tree for every employee who completes the Mission Net Zero education course.

Community initiatives

Three key areas drive our community focus: future-forward education, climate action and inclusive economies. Through our company-wide volunteering and giving platform, Kyndryls around the world are empowered in their communities to donate, start fundraisers and volunteer for over two million non-profit organisations.

Our Kyndryl Cares Volunteer Time Off program gives Kyndryls one day off a year to serve their community. Taking time to volunteer demonstrates our commitment to serving others and provides our people with a sense of connection to their communities and each other.

In September 2023, we launched the Kyndryl Foundation, a private, non-profit foundation that delivers trust-based philanthropic grants to support communities through programs that address critical societal issues.
