EY's Transaction Support Team is currently looking for a Senior to join its Transaction Advisory Services department in Cyprus.

About Transaction Support

Our Transaction Support Team assists businesses meet specific challenges, by identifying the key drivers of revenue and profitability, identifying value adjustments, improving deal structures, mitigating risks and questioning assumptions on future performance. Through this process we improve our clients’ negotiating position and accelerate smooth transactions with minimal disruption.

Role Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior you will have responsibility to:

• Assist with core financial due diligence, helping to identify key risks and potential deal breakers, assess the strengths and weaknesses of the business against industry benchmarks, and assist with the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of the client’s investment strategy.
• Analyse in detail financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and key operational data.
• Assemble and convert the data into meaningful information that is used to drive discussions with the management and derive observations and conclusions.
• Assess the quality of reported earnings, net assets and cash flows.
• After an investigative analysis, this person will assist in the drafting of deal oriented reports and presentations for clients that highlight the key financial, commercial and other findings and the drivers behind sustainable profits and cash flows. This person will also assist our team in establishing how such findings should be incorporated into the client's valuation and sale & purchase agreement, and provide other key negotiating points.
• The candidate will participate in meetings and conference calls with the management and with client personnel, and the will serve as a point of contact for client personnel with respect to day-to-day matters. Between projects, the candidate will assist with building and maintaining client relationships.

We are interested in candidates who:

• Have an ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification or relevant University degree
• Have at least 3 years of audit experience at a Big Four accounting firm or other consulting firm. Experience in financial due diligence is preferred.
• Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Any other software proficiency in data analysis is also desired.
• Have commercial awareness.
• Are excellent communicators and fluent in English language, both verbal and written.
• Are effective time managers, able to keep calm when under pressure to meet constant deadlines.
• Are team players with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with senior members of the management, client representatives and colleagues.
• Have an analytical mind-set.
• Have strong project management skills.
• Are motivated and effective in a fast-paced culture.
• Have a team oriented personality.
