CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a multi-asset global trading platform with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Security Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for a variety of technical and administrative tasks to ensure IT infrastructure remains secure against potential threats. This role is critical in safeguarding digital assets by managing and improving security systems. You will ideally be educated to degree level in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Engineering or a related field, and be certified with at least one qualification, such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials. You should possess at approximately 3+ of experience in a security related role, and be skilled in at least one scripting language to support automation and configuration.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Develop and write comprehensive security policies and documentation for company-wide distribution.
• Administer and enhance the company-wide information security-training program to ensure staff awareness and compliance.
• Lead the security assessment and onboarding of new IT vendors to ensure compliance with our security standards.
• Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems.
• Set up, administer, and troubleshoot VPNs, including Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure technologies.
• Utilize scripting languages such as BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to automate security tasks and processes.
• Manage sensitive access controls and identities using CyberArk.
• Assist with conducting penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within our network.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of experience in a security related role is essential.
• Skilled in at least one scripting language to support automation and configuration.
• Solid understanding of security concepts across UNIX or Windows platforms.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials are strongly desirable.
