CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a multi-asset global trading platform with expanding operations in Cyprus, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Security Engineer to join their growing team based in Nicosia. This highly technical role is critical in safeguarding our client’s digital assets by managing and improving their security systems. The Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for configuring, managing, and maintaining firewalls with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems. Our client is seeking applicants who are ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or other closely related fields, who possess approximately 5+ years of experience in a security focused role. Professional certifications such as CISSP and/or CISM are a must, and experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform to manage and provision infrastructure through code, which enhances security automation is essential. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems.
• Set up, administer, and troubleshoot VPNs, including Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure technologies.
• Utilize scripting languages such as BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to automate security tasks and processes.
• Manage sensitive access controls and identities using CyberArk.
• Assist with conducting penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within our network.
• Develop and write comprehensive security policies and documentation for company-wide distribution.
• Administer and enhance the company-wide information security-training program to ensure staff awareness and compliance.
• Lead the security assessment and onboarding of new IT vendors to ensure compliance with our security standards.
• Collaborate with software development teams to design and implement robust security measures within all applications.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials required.
• Approximately 5+ years of experience in a security-engineering role or similar is essential.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, to manage and provision infrastructure through code, which enhances security automation.
• Skilled in at least one scripting language to support automation and configuration.
• Solid understanding of security concepts across UNIX and/or Windows platforms.
