CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Group of Companies with diverse business interests including the provision of Project Management, Software Development & Consultancy Services to a wide range of clients, we are seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance Engineer to join their growing team based in Larnaca. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work closely with Software Developers and other team members to meet strict timelines and development plans. You will lead product functional testing, customer scenario testing, sanity testing and overall QA process improvement, ensuring the product meets quality standards. Our client is seeking applicants who are educated to degree level in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other closely related fields, who possess at least 2 years of previous experience in software quality assurance, with strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Key Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and cases.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify any potential underlying issues that users might encounter through extensive usage.
• Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality.
• Execute test cases and analyze results.
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects to track bugs.
• Stay up to date with new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Key Skills/Experience: 

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant subject.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux Server.
• Experience with mobile application testing.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Business Travel is required mainly within the European Union.
• Experience with Python and PowerShell scripting languages will be considered a plus.
• Understanding of basic networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) is desirable.
• Understanding of Docker and VMware/Virtualization technologies will be considered an advantage.
